*EUROBASKET: Player of Week: Ka’Lia Johnson (Czech Rep.)

369American Guard Ka’Lia Johnson (178-G-93) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked BLK Praha, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 22-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds, while her team beat SBS Ostrava (0-2) 82-67. It allowed BLK Praha to consolidate first place in the Czech Republic ZBL. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and BLK Praha won both games without losing any. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team’s last game Johnson had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. She turned to be BLK Praha’s top player in her first season with the team. Former Duke University star has very solid stats this year. Johnson is in league’s top in points (5th best: 20.0ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 9.5rpg) and averages impressive 3.0spg,55.0% FGP and 57.1% from behind 3-point line.
